  I would not recommend the services of this contractor. However, I would recommend you do your homework prior to hiring for services. My suggestion would be to have him provide you with a specific plan for your scope of work, otherwise, he seems to do things without permission. I was unfortunate enough to have hired him to do my front yard landscaping. It took over two weeks of his workers showing up and then disappearing for a few days before they even finished the clearing of old landscaping. This was the beginning of a project that should have only taken a few days. He then proceeded to tear the concrete out of my sideyard area, after being specifically told not to do so. He has refused to repair/replace the concrete to this day. If you choose to hire him, make sure you get a good plan in writing, and make sure he has a clear understanding of what he is being asked to do. Otherwise you will have one big headache on your hands.
